My recent piece, done in free time. Some elements are still in draft/blockout stage – mainly the pants, the NVG mount and a few details. I also plan to add a cut in the middle of the cap visor so the NVG can properly fold down over the eyes – it wasn’t in the original concept, but I think it would make sense in-game, since the visor would otherwise block the device.
Right now it’s highpoly only – no retopo or textures yet. The base clothing was created and simulated in Marvelous Designer using a MetaHuman body avatar (170 cm) and then refined and detailed in ZBrush. Thread seams are on separate meshes/layers, so they can be toggled on/off.
The HP renders you see here were done in ZBrush, and the colored material preview was rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.
I’d really appreciate any feedback – let me know in the comments if you’d like to see the next stages (retopo, UVs, texturing), and whether it’s worth finishing the boots and leg pouches as well.
